The last snow in Lofoten
It is spring 2014. 28th of april. I am looking back on three weeks in Lofoten, with bad conditions in terms of snow and winter. The last 10 years I have visited these mountains every march. I cant get enough. But right now I am back home. I am shooting the blossoming fruittrees in the Hardanger fjord. Summer and a stunning fjordview. We are at the edge of summer. My phone starts ringing.
I pick up. My friend Asbjorn Eggeboe Ness asks, are you ready for som may powder? He talks with entusiasm and tells me about the upcoming weather in the Lofoten area. The forcast is very promising he says. I think about the fact that I just came home. What will my wife say? I look at the summer conditions in front of me. Lets get that last snow.
Asbjorn wakes me up with a cup of coffie. 04:00am. From the window in Digermulens Villa Lofoten my eyes finds the Trollfjord-massif. Right here “its realy not that hard, to get up in the morning. Earlie. One look out the window, and you cant wait to get out there. Outside Lofoten is waiting covered in fresh snow. Its 1th of may. The following days will be something. We just dont know it jet.
Down low the snow was mixed, but that all changed getting higher up. We found what we wanted and could not wait to get to work.
